CLIP DESCRIPTION:
When Jem (Philip Alford) and Scout (Mary Badham) get attacked in the woods on Halloween night, Boo (Robert Duvall) fights and saves them.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Harper Lee’s Pulitzer Prize-winning autobiographical novel was translated to film in 1962 by Horton Foote and the producer/director team of Robert Mulligan and Alan J. Pakula. Set a small Alabama town in the 1930s, the story focuses on scrupulously honest, highly respected lawyer Atticus Finch, magnificently embodied by Gregory Peck. Finch puts his career on the line when he agrees to represent Tom Robinson (Brock Peters), a black man accused of rape. The trial and the events surrounding it are seen through the eyes of Finch’s six-year-old daughter Scout (Mary Badham). While Robinson’s trial gives the film its momentum, there are plenty of anecdotal occurrences before and after the court date: Scout’s ever-strengthening bond with older brother Jem (Philip Alford), her friendship with precocious young Dill Harris (a character based on Lee’s childhood chum Truman Capote and played by John Megna), her father’s no-nonsense reactions to such life-and-death crises as a rampaging mad dog, and especially Scout’s reactions to, and relationship with, Boo Radley (Robert Duvall in his movie debut), the reclusive “village idiot” who turns out to be her salvation when she is attacked by a venomous bigot. To Kill a Mockingbird won Academy Awards for Best Actor (Peck), Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Art Direction.

And later Boo Radley became official counsel for Michael Corleone.

After the trial was over, any remaining credibility that Bob Ewell had left (If he had any) with the people of Maycomb was destroyed by Atticus at the trial and he attempted revenge on Atticus by trying to kill his kids. In the end, Bob Ewell was killed with his own knife by Arthur Radley. The way I see it, it was Gods punishment on Bob Ewell for condemning Tom Robinson to death for a crime Tom was innocent of.
Getting revenge on Atticus by trying to kill his children. The Sherrif was right to let Arthur off the hook for killing that drunk child beating coward
I thought Scout can't remove the costume until she gets home
That ham seen some stuff
ん?ハムの子供襲われたんか
HAM OVERBOARD
Scout was this close to be called a dead meat.
Damn, a mf really do be watching this tryna make an argumentative paragraph about how Boos courage in stepping of his house and protecting Jem and Scout changed both himself, and the Finch Kids.
Smh my head
HOW DARE YOU HURT THE INNOCENT HAM

Jem died later on(not included in TKAM)
1% Of comment: Normal stuff
99%: Ham
Guys, say it with me, HAM SCOUT HAM SCOUT
As an older sibling, I can easily put myself in Jem’s shoes for this scene. You’re trying to get your little sibling home on a dark night and you just know someone is following you, and you know you might not be able to protect them.
omg the part where she rammed into bob tho
reminds me of “pass the damn ham”
Am I the only person who hated this book. It’s so damn boring.
ham

The first time I saw this film I was the age of the brother. I was spending the night at my Grandparents house. This was the Late Late Movie, no one else was awake and this scene scared the crap out of me.
So boo radly was always cooped up in the house but still strong as a bull.
Bob Ewell then threw Jim off to the side like trash and stomped towards Scout. He was about the rip the ham costume off her when suddenly a mysterious, towering figure appeared from behind the tree. The figure grabbed Bob Ewell and shook him like a dog, then slammed him against the tree and desperately grabbed his hands in a death like grip. Bob Ewell struggled to break the mysterious person’s grip but to no avail. With incredible force, Bob’s hands were thrown down, away from Scout. There was a vice on Bob Ewel’s throat, a vice that could not be loosened. Bob Ewel struggled, trying to break loose but his consciousness was fading fast. Then suddenly he felt a sharp pain in his neck and heard a loud crack then darkness and silence. Scout could only watch as the figure threw Bob Ewel to the side like the trash he was. The mysterious rescuer then stomped over to where Jim lay, each step pounding the Earth and shaking the ground. BOMP BOMP BOMP The figure scooped up Jim, and carried him away towards town. Scout snapped out of her daze, and quickly slipped out of her costume. She tore after her mysterious savior, and saw them turn the corner to Atticus’s house. She ran across the street, and stopped at a lamp post just in front of the house, watching as Atticus opened the door to greet this mysterious person. Atticus’s face went white and his expression was turned to terror. He grabbed Jim from the person and didn’t bother closing the door as he ran inside. The figure followed Atticus. Scout, who had been quietly watching, then stepped from the lamp post for a second, then jumped back when she stepped on a twig. SNAP The mysterious hero spun around. What Scout saw she would never forget; a large, broad shouldered shadow with eyes like a wild animal, and the presence of a feral dog. The shadow was Boo Radly.
That Bighead Bob Ewell take that fat stinkin L! Classic Karma.
The fact that her costume says ham on it makes it so much funnier.
i’m reading this novel at school and it’s amazing.

Ham down
When she runs as a ham😂😂😂
I just finished the book about 30 seconds ago, and the first thing I have to do is watch this clip and where scout meets Arthur😂 also I love the ham😂😂😂
"Pork!" "Per aspera ad astra" ("through hardships to the stars")
When he first watch this I thought that was Atticus when a arm came in to defend scout
That ham costume is such a tank. It saved scout from being hurt and didnt break 😂👌
Damm nice bars at 0:23
Bob Ewell is without of the doubt one of the most disgusting villains ever
The costume is so bad they needed to label it
I know many readers liked Boo, because they were curious about him, but Jem was my favorite character in the
book/film. Protective of his little sister, and they played together well…
THE FUCKINFG HAM COSTUME IM CRYINGDJBDBDDB
